Joy Construction

In 1968, Roger and Joy Rampy launched Rampy Construction Company. The
name was later changed to Joy Construction Company. The Rampy's began by
building homes and commercial properties in Michigan. Their high standard of
quality and family oriented principles quickly gained them respect in Michigan's
building community.

It wasn't long before this family-owned company grew, and so did their family.
Roger and Joy's son, Sid (pictured here), soon became interested in the family
business and the reigns and responsibility would soon be his.

Sid earned his degree in Construction Science from Ferris State University and
is an active board member in the South Carolina Home Builders Association.
Sid’s drive to continue his education in building has earned him the title of
Certified Graduate Master Builder. Sid and his business partner Dustin
Rampy have helped position Joy Construction Company as a Green Building
Professional Company and Sid is an International Green Building Certification holder.

Being a certified Green Builder is a great accomplishment for Joy Construction
Company. This goes beyond being a great Design, Build, Contractor; this is proof
that they really care about the environment and responsibly build homes and
commercial properties with energy efficiency at the top of their list. Taking this a
step further, Sid has become HBA certified as a Green Built Consultant as well
as a LEED Accredited Verifier.

Joy Construction Company has received many accolades including the
prestigious Pinnacle Award three times (2002, 2003 and 2004) and Builder of
the Year in 2004.

Joy Construction is licensed in South Carolina, Michigan, North Carolina and
Georgia. They currently have two offices; one in Upstate South Carolina and one
in Michigan. New offices in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina and the
Charleston area of South Carolina will be opening soon.

Sid and his business partner Dustin pride themselves on owning and operating
a company with strong family values and consider it a great pleasure to help
families and businesses make their construction dreams and visions come true.
