Thistle Downs.
Made for gathering.
Family at its heart.
Music in its soul.
This home was shaped around the owners' love of family and music: generous places to gather, a dedicated media room, and thoughtful connections between indoors and out.
Sid points first to the striking stone and brick finishes on the front and rear of the home, along with the decorative railing at the upper window to the left of the entry. Inside, his walkthrough highlights are the kitchen, the media room, and the level of finish in the two garage areas.

Let the outside in.
The Carolina Room leads naturally toward covered outdoor living, a grilling area, and pond-side views. Spaces to enjoy the setting in a way that feels like home.
What the photographs
can't tell you.
Planning for the site.
The home's overall size made site coverage a significant planning challenge. Special pavers were needed across the entire driveway to meet the project's impervious-surface requirements—a solution that shaped the arrival as well as the build.
Staying accountable.
When the installed roofing didn't match the chosen color and shingle style, Sid flagged it for the subcontractor. The roofing was fully removed and replaced to correct the selection.
Keeping owners involved.
With the owners living out of state, biweekly Zoom progress meetings kept them involved in the build. They also stayed locally for weekend visits during construction.
